Fall is Financial Aid Season
Triton students can get assistance with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the RISE Alternative Application from the college’s Financial Aid Office.
The Triton College Financial Aid Office will host FAFSA help via Zoom drop-ins every Monday during October. Students will also have the opportunity to make follow-up appointments for personalized FAFSA guidance. For dates, drop-in times and Zoom ID and passcode, click here.
The FAFSA application is now open for the 2021-2022 school year. For priority access to the Monetary Award Program (MAP) Grant and other federal funding, it is important to file an application by Dec. 1. Visit www.studentaid.gov to apply.
The Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid is open for the 2021-2022 school year. Do not delay in filing an application!
The Retention of Illinois Students & Equity (RISE) Act allows eligible undocumented students and transgender students who are disqualified from federal financial aid to apply for all forms of state financial aid. The Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid provides a pathway for these qualified students to apply for MAP Grants, the state's largest need-based grant program for low-income college students.
