Triton and West 40 to host FREE Backpack Giveback Resource Fair – Aug. 3
Students from throughout West Suburban Cook County will start the school year off on the right track – thanks to an initiative between Triton College and West 40 Intermediate Service Center #2.
Families are invited to attend the Backpack Giveback Resource Fair at Triton College on Saturday, Aug. 3, from 10 a.m. – noon. The event will be held on the outdoor mounds located on the west side of Triton’s campus, 2000 5th Ave., River Grove. In the case of inclement weather, the event will be held in the Student Center Cafeteria (B Building).
At the fair, students can receive a backpack filled with school supplies, free of charge. Backpacks and supplies will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Community based organizations from throughout the area will be on hand at the event to provide additional resources and information to families at the event.

- IWS Children’s Clinic
- North West Housing Partnership
- Access to Care
- PASO West Suburban Action Project
- Pillars Community Health
- The Oral Health Forum
- Triton College/GENIUS Program
- River Grove Public Library District
- Cernan Earth and Space Center
- Loyola University Chicago School-Based Health Center
- Jimmy John’s
