On Tuesday, June 19 at 7 p.m., Dr. Joshua Burton of Proviso Math and Science Academy will give a presentation titled "A Singular Approach" at Triton College's Cernan Earth and Space Center. Dr. Burton will discuss black holes, the geometry of space in extreme conditions, and what it might be like to be near a black hole. The talk is hosted by the Chicago Astronomical Society who holds their monthly meetings here at the Cernan Earth and Space Center during the summer. We hope to see you here on June 19. Admission to this program is free.
Weather permitting, telescopes will be set up outside after the meeting for FREE public observing of Jupiter, the moon, and maybe Saturn. All ages are welcome to come and look through telescopes.
