RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program)

We thank you for your interest in the School of Continuing Education (SCE). Limited team members are working on campus to meet your needs.

To practice social distancing, we are limiting the number of people in our office at one time. If you would like to speak with someone, please call (708) 456-0300, Ext. 3500, and we would be happy to assist you. You can also email us at minervamclaren@triton.edu.

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of West Suburban Cook and Southern DuPage Counties is sponsored by Triton College. RSVP is funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service, the Illinois Department on Aging and Leyden Township and matched by Triton. RSVP is part of Senior Corps which also includes Foster Grandparents and Senior Companions.

RSVP

RSVP became a national program in 1969 following an amendment to the Older Americans Act. In 1973, it became part of the Domestic Volunteer Service Act and when former President Clinton formed the Corporation for National and Community Service in 1993, RSVP joined two other organization, Foster Grandparents and Senior Companions, to form Senior Corps. All three organizations were formed on the same belief that older adults are valuable resources to their communities. In 1983, RSVP of West Suburban Cook and Southern DuPage Counties was established with the support and sponsorship of Triton College.

RSVP Time Sheet

Time sheets are the way we keep track of the hours you serve.

This helps so that we can report to the state and federal government on the impact our volunteers are having in the community.

Specifically, the state bases our funding on the total amount of hours our volunteers serve—the more hours you serve, the more money we may receive.

NOTE: Time sheets are due to the office by the fifth of each month.
