    President's Scholarship

    SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT:
    Up to $1,500 for tuition, books, and fees

    BACKGROUND:
    The President’s Scholarship is intended to recognize and rewards those exemplary students who possess strong leadership qualities and who may serve as an example to fellow students. Specifically, it is designed to assist students pursuing a certificate or degree, and who do not qualify for federal financial aid, but for whom college tuition would nevertheless be a significant burden on them and/or their family. Students receiving this scholarship would be expected to attend and participate in several Foundation events/activities held during the year including a spring scholarship breakfast.

    REQUIREMENTS: 

    • GPA of 3.0 or above
    • Current, part-time or full-time students carrying at least 6 credit hours
    • The student must have completed at least 12 credit hours
    • Must have a completed FAFSA application and demonstrate financial need
    • Must submit a completed scholarship application
    • The required essay must describe how receiving this scholarship will help a student do more to support their community
