BACKGROUND:
The JoAnne and Marian Mota Memorial Scholarship was originally established in 2007 by Jean Mota in memory of her sister, JoAnne, a Triton College student. When Jean’s mother, Marian, passed away in 2008, her name was added to the memorial scholarship.

• Part-time or full-time degree-seeking student
• Applicant must be pursuing a degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ultrasound) or a related health care field
• Candidate must have successfully completed a semester, in an appropriate health care program
• The required essay must clearly explain why the applicant should be selected to receive this scholarship and demonstrate financial need
