    Carlos Granados Memorial Scholarship

    BACKGROUND:
    This scholarship was created in 2004 as a memorial tribute to Triton College President Patricia Granados’ father, Carlos. Mr. Granados immigrated to the USA with his family to ensure a better life for his six children. He was an automotive technician in Mexico and brought his talents to the Chicagoland area. Learning a new language and culture was not easy, but his strong work ethic and passion for his trade helped him achieve his dream of providing for his family and giving his children the opportunity of a good education. The Granados family would like to help other immigrants reach their dreams through education.

     REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Automotive major
    • Adult Latino student who has taken Triton College English as a Second Language courses
    • May be a full or part- time student

    DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION: 
    September 1 for fall
    February 1 for spring
